About the Jubilee line

Opened in 1979 for Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee, the line's eastern extension to Stratford opened in 1999 with platform-edge doors at every station โ€” a London first.

The Jubilee line is the only Tube line that interchanges with every other Tube line, making it the backbone of the modern network.

For visitors it links the South Bank (Waterloo, Southwark, London Bridge), the O2 Arena (North Greenwich), Canary Wharf and Stratford's Olympic Park โ€” and runs all night on Fridays and Saturdays.
