About Caledonian Sleeper

Now owned by the Scottish Government via Transport Scotland (since June 2023), the Caledonian Sleeper splits into the Lowlander (to Edinburgh & Glasgow) and the Highlander (to Inverness, Aberdeen and Fort William, with portions splitting at Edinburgh).

Departures from Euston are around 23:00 (later for Lowlander, earlier for Highlander), with arrivals breakfast-time. The Highlander to Fort William traces the West Highland Line — one of the most scenic rail journeys in the world.

Rolling stock is the 2019-built CAF Mk5 — en-suite double rooms, club rooms with en-suite, classic rooms (washbasin) and budget seated coaches. The Club Car serves dinner and breakfast on board.
